Pedicure Day

What a fun day to spend with the girls. There is no better treat than having somebody rub your feet and soak them in hot water. The nail polish looks great.

Happy birthday, birthday girl. :)

Pumpkin Patch

What could be better than a pumpkin, why a whole patch of them. Boaz was sure there were billions of pumpkins in this field.

I'm sure this pumpkin weighed more than my boy. He loved all the different colors and sizes and shapes.

A fun day. The weather was great and the hay ride fun. We enjoyed the suspense of wondering if we would run over the pumpkins that lined the path. We saw the evidence of previous mishaps. We loved looking for the red ones, the white ones, the big ones and the small ones.

All in all, a very fun field trip. I was lucky to be able to go. :)

Sad day for Boaz

How do you expain feeling sick?

If your name is Boaz, you say, "Mom, my legs don't work very good."

How do you look if you are feeling sick?

If your name is Boaz, you look pale and walk with hunched shoulders and look at the floor and sit or lay very still.

How do you look when you are feeling better?

If your name is Boaz, you start running in circles and smile a lot don't stop moving because now you can and it feels good.

Sad start to the day

Boaz was having a worst day ever. He had been bugging Josh, and Josh got tired of it and ended up hurting him. (Not too badly, and I know that Boaz doesn't let up.)

He came to me with tears in his eyes and a woebegone face and sad voice. He started his list of his worst day ever. I responded by pulling him close and hugging him tight. Murmuring soft consoling sounds.

Then I heard him tag on the end of his list of worst things ever, "being squoze by my mom."

What could I do, but laugh?

Watching the clock

Saturday, in between sessions, we moved a bit and then got some pizza. We get the take and bake kind. Craig and I were relaxing on the couch and we looked over to see what Boaz was doing. He was sitting, probably the most still he had been all day, or would be all day, watching the timer count down to PIZZA!

I went for my camera, and he noticed us. We had to coach him to recreate the moment. But what a funny thing to see. Our boy that bounces all day long sitting so still watching the timer.

Powder puff girl 2009

This picture is before the game. She is ready and confident for this game.

I think mom did a great job on her hair. She looks great from all angles. :)

The senior team was huge this year. Lots more girls playing. Karly is in her element with her posse.

The senors smashed the juniors this year. The juniors played hard, but threw 2 interceptions and it killed them. Plus the seniors were fierce. They weren't giving anything up. A fun game. Thanks Karlynne for letting us cheer you on.
