My first tag -- A trip down memory lane.

Well, here goes. I'll try a tag.

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses.

The boys getting into Star Wars

The boys were doing some serious bonding over Star Wars. I think this was episode VI. Craig and I were both amazed and happy that our kids were loving what we loved when we were young. I think I was just 11 when Star Wars first came out. That is only 3 years older than Josh. Amazing.

Sisters Quilt Show

I went to the Sisters Quilt Show. The boys came with me and they felt like they were in jail. So I had them go behind the bars for the picture. I think they felt that they were going to have to walk for ever. We wandered the town for 2 hours and saw hundreds of quilts. I think they had over 1000 quilts hung. I know that we didn't see all of them, but I tried to see the most that I could.

I promised them if they were good, I would buy them ice cream. They both choose chocolate. They would have gotten just as sticky with vanilla I know, but not as noticably dirty. I told them to stay far away from the quilts and not to touch me until I got them cleaned up.

Don't feel too bad for them though, afterwards we bought the rest of the STARWARS DVDS and have a Star Wars feast for 2 days.

Swimming Lessons for Josh

Josh learned how to float on his back, do the back stroke, tread water and dive from a kneeling positon this time. He refined his skills of breathing while swimming, kicking, and the crawl. He did a great job.

I missed him coming down the slide with the camera. But I caught the splash. He loves the slide and is very confident on it.

We love swimming lessons!

Swimming lessons for Boaz

Boaz is a monster in the water. As long as he has his goggles, he will do anything. Today he tried to stand on his hands underwater. I missed the picture. :( He loved playing with the ball.

He forgot to put his goggles on going down the slide. He went down twice though. What a stud.

Getting ready to go to Church

We all went shopping the day before. So we were decked out in our new outfits for chruch. Aren't we beautiful?

We did have a bit of squintage, because of the sun. However that should be ignored.

Ralphie the raccoon

This is Ralphie the racoon that come to eat every night on Brenda's pourch. Her cats don't even get excited when he comes by. I took three pictures, the first one was mostly screen. I was amazed that he stayed put and continued eating while the camera flashed 3 times. Megan and I were very excited. Karly and Brenda were happy to share their routine with us.

I cooed at him, but he just ignored me and continued eating his cat food. He's so cute.

Blue Herons at the coast.

I was so excited to see these birds that the girls mocked me. But Brenda stopped the car, twice, so I could get out and take their picture. Karly saw one on the drive to the lighthouse and I missed it. I was very sad and so Karly pointed out a flying bug and told me it was "wildlife." See what I mean about the mocking.

Anyway, the birds were fishing for thier dinner. I'd hear the splash of them going for a fish almost before I would see movement. They stand still for a long time waiting for a fish to swim close enough for them to catch it. I found them beautiful and facinating.

When I got back in the car the second time the girls were laughing. Brenda told me they were mocking me. I knew it already. The girls thought I was acting like I do when I see a quilt shop.

Around the light house

This is three arch rock. It is a breeding site for ocean birds and sea lions "roost" there too. I'm not sure what it's called when sea lions gather on rocks, but we didn't see any there. Just the signs. The rock was cool, and the ocean was beautiful.

This is Octopus tree. I think it has 6 "arms" and the base of the tree is 50 feet. If it wasn't fenced in and a sign posted that said no climbing I would have loved to go and sit on it. I think it is the largest Sitka Spruce in Oregon. It was awesome.

Cape Meares

After the Cheese Factory, we went to the light house at Cape Meares. This lighthouse has the smallest tower in Oregon. It had been raining, and the trees were all drippy. But it was beautiful.

Tillamook Cheese Factory

This is the only picture I took at the Cheese factory. I did love the ice cream. Yummy.

4th of July in Salem

I went and spent the fouth of July weekend with Brenda, Karly and Megan. We went with Kimberly and Auntie to the park in Salem and set up to watch the fireworks. Brenda was a smartie and brought Uno. I don't think I won one game, but it was fun. Somehow Ralphie the racoon got on this post. I'll tell you about him later.
