It’s here

Craig followed me out to the mailbox.

Dang. Craig took a video and my phone won’t let me load it.

So I did some screen shots.

Summer

Today is the first day of summer. No more school until August. And then only for Boaz.

Our list for the summer?

Trek the end of June.
Send the boys to Hawaii the first of July ish.
Craig and I dash to Oregon to see Brenda and Tim beginning of July.
Family reunion the end of July.
Do what it takes to get Josh ready for the mission.
Merit badges for Boaz. He will do his board of review for his Life this Sunday. Then six months until he is eligible for Eagle. Project?

That seems like a lot to do in about two and a half months. I’m thinking this summer will fly by way too fast.

They are in

He met with the Stake President again tonight.

He was told expect three to four weeks.

It’s a waiting game now.

Scripture - Psalms 30

For when I’m sad or down on myself. This scripture gives hope in the future.

A new chapter

Boaz turned 14 a month ago. But we had ward conference and missionaries farewells (one being the son of the bishop) and other things. So Boaz was advanced to a teacher today.

Craig had a thought and looked it up in the Handbook. Josh, being a priest, was able to be voice in advancing Boaz. So Boaz asked the rest of the priests if they would be In the circle. The Bishopric was there and Craig was walking Josh through the procedure before they started. I was the only one sitting during the ordination.

I thought about my boys being surrounded and supported by wonderful men and good friends who were learning along with Josh.

I teared up as I heard the emotion in Josh’s voice telling his brother that God loves him.

A lovely memory made today. An important lesson for Josh in how to listen in the midst of speaking. An important step for Boaz as he learns about the priesthood.

Pracising for missions.
