How I love this weekend. We started off with the yummy tradition.

Saturday afternoon we had visitors.

I found a lovely meme on Facebook that I sent to Josh.
Craig and Boaz built a bridge.

I discovered I was five blocks short.

But the highlight really was listening to the prophets and authorities teach from the scriptures. They incorporated verses into their language. It reminded me of Elder McConkie when he said they had become his words because he had read them and studied them and loved them.
It was an example to me of what the new curriculum was supposed to produce. People who were comfortable and conversant with the scriptures.
My favorite talks, if I had to pick two were Elder Holland. He brought me to tears. And Elder Kyle McKay of the Seventy. I wondered where he came from. I expect we’ll see more of him. I loved his message of the immediate goodness of God to help us while we wait for deliverance.
And President Nelson gave me words to help me express how l felt when I found out about Larry Kerr. He passed away Friday evening.

I am ever so grateful that I took the time to see Larry and Utahna last year. It has been a long time since they became my family and allowed me into their home and hearts. They became my family as I was away from mine. I’m saddened to hear of Larry’s passing this weekend. I’m sad for his family , especially Tahna, as they find a new normal. I am comforted by the words of President Nelson today. I’m not worried about him. I know where he is and what he is doing. But I know I and many others will miss him dearly. Until we meet again. I love you Larry.
