I don't see any boxes.

We are getting ready to move, again. Nothing drastic -- just across town. But still, moving everything we own and fitting it into a new house. I have been planning in my head what I will do first and how I will what needs to be done and where I will put things. My plan is to move bit by bit. Fill up a box, move it, empty it and bring it back to filled again. Our move will take place over several days. Most of the preperation has all been mental -- the planning stage.

We have been talking to the boys. They have seen the new house, and are most excited about living in a house that has an upstairs.

This past week at primary, Boaz's teacher asked him if his house was full of boxes. He said, "My mom says we are moving. She says I will have an upstairs. She says there will be a rope swing. But I don't see any boxes."

A quilt for Heidi

A pink and purple quilt for a new girl. :)

I like to take pictures of multiple angles.

The quilt has to have a pair of new booties too.

When I told Boaz her name he laughed and asked "Why did they name her that? Does she hide a lot?" Funny boy. My visiting teacher told me I needed to read to that boy. I'm sure it's true. :)

I know I'm spoiling the arrival, Anaise. But I'm excited it's done. I'll send it in the mail tomorrow --Tuesday.

cardboard robot

What better toy to play with than empty boxes. Josh designed himself a robot costume and spent the next hour not being able to bend in normal bendable places.

A side view. I thought he was quite inventive. :)

I do love this boy.

Broken feelings

At the end of one day a little bit ago Josh and Boaz were tired. Normally it's good to be tired at the end of the day. However, tiredness can be a bit tricky.

We started our night-time stuff. Get jamms on, brush teeth, etc. Delay tactics began. They were hungry. They wanted yogurt. They were starving.

I think that if you are only starving when it's time to get jamms on, then you can really make it to breakfast. I said no.

Josh responded with anger and started to torment his little broter. Not a normal response, but one within his ability.

Boaz began to cry. I went in and Boaz came over for a hug and tried to tell me what was wrong.

"My feelings are broken." he sobbed.

I had him come with me to the bedroom and help me put the sheets on the bed. I had left it all day -- opps. A little time to be useful with mom healed his broken feelings and he went back to brush his teeth.

A nice tender memory with my little man.

Man stuff

I was watching Boaz play the Wii, Star Wars Legos. He was picking up purple pearls behind his X-wing. The purple pearls were bombs.

I made the mistake of saying, "How cute." Boys do not like the word cute.

Boaz told me, with a bit of disgust, "Mom, this is man stuff."

Craig just laughed and shook his head and left the room to get ready for work.

At school

He didn't notice how long I stayed in the door way and watched him. He didn't watch me walk away. He said he loved me, and he was off to explore new things.

When I picked him up 2 1/2 hours later, he was full of his day at school. He has waited years to be able to go to his own school. I guess that's what I get for taking him with me when I did some things at Josh's school. He's been in and out of schools since he was one. Now he finally gets to have a school and his own classroom and his own teacher and his own time too.

He can't wait for afternoons now. A happy boy.

First day of Kindergarten

Wearing his heavy backpack with all his school supplies.

I wanted him to show his teeth. He is a goofy boy.

In his new class room

Wearing his name tag.
