My two weeks are over. Yea!
Honestly, the hardest part was psychological. Just knowing I couldn't go shopping made me want to go. I had all sorts of food in the house, but I would wander - wanting something I didn't have.
So yesterday I headed to Costco. I kept telling myself not to go crazy. I think I did pretty good. Then I headed to the drug store. I like a certain brand of shampoo. Then I hit Safeway.
I loaded up on butter, TP, dish washing detergent. I found a good sized packet of yeast. I replentished my cereal stock. Fresh milk, fruit and veggies. A selection of yogurt.
I thought I had done really well. This morning I realized I am out of plastic wrap. It's Sunday. I'll have to ask a neighbor. I've already cut the watermelon for the pot luck today. It needs plastic wrap.
Craig and I decided that we could live for a long time on what we have. No doubt, we would miss certain things. But we would be able to make it. That is peace.

My sweet sister
Yea for sisters. Brenda brought me angle food cake, strawberries, and whipped cream. Yummy. It hit the spot. What can beat out strawberries? I don't know. :)
The new letters
Craig is now a Certified Medical Practice Executive -- CMPE.
I am still allowed to touch him. That's nice. :)

I want something.
I have plenty of food in the house. I just ate an apple and a banana. Earlier today, I snuck an ice cream sandwich, after my lunch of beans. I've been eating homemade bread and jam. All of these things are yummy.
But I want something that is not in the house. I don't know what it is. Just something that I haven't cooked.
I think I'll go take a B complex vitamin and chew some gum. I can't wait until Monday.

Oh, oh, oh . . .
The sun came out today. So I mixed up the flour, salt and water and got to work. Three more masks are drying out on my front step. Yea! I finished with the third one just in time to take Josh to piano lessons. Who needs to plan when the weather is so capricious?
masks
I have three masks ready to be primed. 147 to go. Actually, I have a list of 10 people who will help me with making 10 each. Now I just have to find 5 more willing souls.
Optimal conditions for papier mache - ing are hot, dry, sunny days with a bit of a breeze. We are stuck in a cool, drizzily, if not outright rainy pattern. I have three naked masks ready to begin. The first batch of "glue" made three masks. I'm just waiting for a good sunny day to get started again.

Snacks
Josh wanted a snack yesterday. He asked me what we have. I'm reluctant to let them eat all the snacks that I can put in his lunch -- we are running out of them. I had baked a cake for Sunday dinner, but it was gone. I have some homemade bread with yummy freezer jam, but that's not what he wanted. Sunday's jello was all gone too. Our chocolate supply is running low -- except our big bag of chocolate chips.
I didn't have any ideas. Josh remembered pop tarts. I buy strawberry and chocolate fudge pop tarts every once in a while. He was so happy I had some. They saved the day.
Writing this post reminds me I need to have a snack for cub scouts tonight. Oh dear. What will I fix?
