It's the middle of August. What does that really mean? Blackberry season of course. We've been berry picking twice so far. I've lots of yummy jam in my freezer, and now Karly and Brenda do too. Karly came and learned the whole process.
There was even enough left over for a yummy blackberry pie. Very juicy -- it looks like berry soup in a crust. But delicious.
A delightful August tradition.

We've picked about 10 gallons from our bushes--eating them fresh, freezing them, sharing them, putting them in cobblers, syrups, jams etc.
I love blackberries, too!
Oh my goodness that looks DELICIOUS!!! We've had strawberries, raspberries, blueberries so far and peaches are coming tomorrow. YUM!
