A camel came to school.

I met Ralphie today. 

His kind is from the Gobi desert. He weights about 1800 pounds and is not quite 7 feet tall. 

He sat calm and content as his person talked about him. The kids loved it when he ate a stray,fallen leaf. He is half way to getting his full winter coat. 

The principal got to ride him. She almost screamed when he lurched to stand up. She was a good sport. The kids loved seeing her ride him. She is new to our school and I love her. 

Sitting between the humps looked a bit tight. But I wanted to try it too. 

He is not a dromedary. He is baktain.  He can handle the cold. 

Honestly, now I want one.
