I have completed a new quilt. Yea! I call it "Hugs from Oregon." Sometimes we are just too far away to be where we would like to be.
I pieced the back with the extra fabric. This one turned out a bit hectic, but with the neutrals, reds and blues -- it seems to work okay.
There are 32 different ties, and 12 complete rail fence blocks. :)

Scarey question
My five year old son, Boaz, asked me a question as he got out of the tub.
"Mom, what if today was my wedding day?"
I froze and my heart stood still, just for a moment.

Turkey Day offerings
It's been a few years since I cooked the turkey. It came out beautiful. I prepared the boys plates and thought they were lovely. Sadly, the boys were not impressed with my efforts. Hopefully, as they grow, they will be able to appreciate good food.
I don't think they liked one thing on their plate. And I didn't even try and put the stuffing on there. :)
Happily, the adults all enjoyed dinner.
Watching Saturday Football
A dream come true for a big sports fan. His two boys are actually sitting down with him while he is watching a football game. And, they are talking about what is going on in the game. They are learning about first and ten, offense and defense and goals and extra points. How could life possibly get any better?

A limit of five questions
Parent teacher conference is fun for me. I like to hear all the good things the teachers say about my boys.
I learned something about Josh yesterday. He was only able to answer 5 questions a day. It seemes that he knew all the answers. His classmates knew it and they waited for him to give the answer. So he was rationed. He had to decide which questions he wanted to answer, and his class mates knew that they would have to start participating too.
That story just makes me smile. :)

Too late for Craig
Craig was having a conversation with his son, Boaz. They were talking about growing up and the possibilites of what you can be. Craig asked Boaz if he was going to be a doctor. Boaz said yes. Craig said that he wanted to be a doctor. Boaz said, "You are too old to be anything. It's too late for you."
Poor Craig. It's too late for him to be anything. :(

Happy Halloween
I tried to get Boaz to be a Jedi. Last year both he and Josh were and the robes still fit. But Boaz was adamant -- he was going to be Harry Potter. So last week I went shopping. I was saved at the thrift store when I found a graduation robe for only $2.99. Yea! Then I was off to Walmart for yarn for the scarf. It took me two days on the Knifty Knitter (hat loom). We had the glasses, yes I know they make him look a bit cross-eyed. He is not, it's just the glasses.
Josh happily doned the Jedi robe again, but insisted on the scar that Anakin has in the Clone Wars series, and Episode III. Craig getting into character just picked up a mask out of the toy box and he was good. I was sick and didn't go. Didn't want to share my germs with others. How responcible is that?
Truely a cute family, even if I say so myself. :)
