Boaz doing his happy dance.

We played a game tonight with some music. Boaz loved it. He could not sit still. He danced and jumped and bounced and bopped for over an hour. I'm tired just remembering it. It's nice to have such a happy boy. Thank you Auntie Brenda for taking my camera and capturing the moment.

Jed Clampet coming to town

Craig said he felt like Jed Clampet. He called me from the road and told me the suburban was filled to the roof. I couldn't picture what he ment.

I especially like the juxtaposition of the vacuum cleaner on top of the lawn mower. I think that is a nice touch. Blue and yellow are good colors together:)

He drove at night, I think that was a good thing. At least the lights of the other drivers would be noticable. I hate not being able to see out of the windows. The only windows he was able to see out of was the windsheild and the drivers side window. I was amazed as we pulled out item after item.

And if you notice, his pringles were handy for the snakies. A nice touch.

You can't imagine how many times he cursed me for the baskets. He told me he left some of them behind.

All in all, I'm glad he's fineally here. The boys are extatic. They do love their daddy.

Powder Puff Girl

Karly is a stud! She was fierce and focused. She played wide receiver and was a great blocker. Craig was impressed at how many girls she blocked and shut down. She closed the lanes and hussled and all out impressed us. She was a big part of the Juniors victory over the Seniors. You can't see in this picture, but she even recieved a black eye as a battle wound. The seniors were not happy to be beaten, and they played girl dirty. Karly was attacked by the "face scratcher" and still she did not back down. The Juniors won 6 to 0.

After the game, she had just enough patience left to smile for my picture and then she charged her mom and almost tackled her for a hug. She returned the conquering hero.

Way to go Karly!

Back on Line

After being without the computer for two days, I decided to see if I could figure it out by myself. Wow! It really wasn't that hard. I started plugging wires into the color coded areas on the stack and found the wall jacks and waala. I am back in blogging heaven.

Yesterday was the primary program in Brenda's ward. Boaz told me he knew all the songs. I felt a little bad that Josh and Boaz are missing participating in the program this year. It was a bit different watching with my kids sitting beside me in the row. But I always love the Primary Program.

The house is full of boxes, but I was grateful when Brenda said that it was looking like Wendy's home. So, bit by bit, I will eat this elephant.

Packing

I don't think you ever know how much stuff you've accumulated until you have to put it all in boxes. I've made about 4 trips to the thrift store to dontae things. I've thrown away junk and more junk and more junk. And I'm still dreading packing the bathrooms and kitchen. I'm trying not to think about the pantry.

When we made our first run last week, I was amazed at the food storage that we had. I don't think I've ever seen it all in one place before. I'm glad we have it, but my goodness. And I've been only buying milk for the past week or so. I'm trying to eat what is in the fridge and pantry. But I'm getting tired of chicken and rice. If I have to rely on my food storage, I'm sure I'll be tired of beans, rice, wheat and oats. But I'll be glad I have them.

A dear, darling friend offered to bring in meals while we pack, and I had to say with all seriousness, we are Mormons. We have food in the house, we need to eat it so we don't have to cart it. I am grateful for the food storage program. I know I need to work on getting more flavor, like peaches and beans and other canned goods. But I'll work on that at the new house.

Today, I have to tackle the bathrooms. And I will take down the items in the built in hutch and pack them carefully in the trunk of my car. Those things are not going in the moving van with the men handling them. Now I have to very careful, because if I break them, it is my own fault.

I love General Conference

I love General Conference. I love being able to sit at home and watch the prophets and apostles. I love to listen to their words of wisdom and counsel. I love feeling the spirit and having my heart be touched. I'm not too keen on crying for two days, but I will endure that part of for the rest.

One talk that touched my heart is from Elder Cook. His little boy had to tell his mother, "I hope you know, we had a hard time." I think I will use that in my prayers from now on. I loved listening to President Monson. Life is speeding up for me, I have a hard time understanding how truely fast it will become in the future. But I know that it will. I hope I will live in the moment more and that if the Lord has an errand that He will know that Wendy Oswald will run it for Him. I hope to incorporate that in my prayers as well. I hope to have a long time to practise that one, for I'm sure that I will need it.

There are too many things to remember. I love that the Ensign will come and I will be able to study and learn anew the counsil. That I will be able to pitch my tent at the temple and hear the words of the Lord today.

Josh sat through two sessions and worked on a Conference booklet. He happily numbered how many times prayer was referenced. He decoded the secret message. He tried really hard to pay attention. I remembered the times that I sat and colored during Conference when I was a child. I hope that he learns to love Conference as much as I do.

Boaz didn't have any interest in coloring the pages from the booklet, but when asked he could tell me that the man speaking was President Monson. And then he skipped happily from the room to watch the other TV. I get anxious, and I try to remember that I mustn't pull up the plants to check on the condition of the roots.

Tomorrow the world will start again, and I'll have to pack up the rest of the house and say goodbye to my beautiful home. We've loved the five years that we've spent here. But I know that I will love the time I spend in my next home too. Home is were family is.

Heceta Head Lighthouse

This is the penultimate block. Yea! This has been a long project. I decided since I didn't know much about the Oregon Dunes, that I would pick a lighthouse. I have never been here, but I plan on visiting the lighthouses now that we will be moving nearer to the coast.
